This is a thrift-store (or old t-shirt) makeover project.
Find a t-shirt that you like–either in your home stash or at your local thrift store, and transform it from ho-hum to stunning with a few quick crochet stitches.
Easy and quick for even beginner crocheters, this t-shirt makeover project will give you a new summer wardrobe for pennies, and will also help use up your stash of yarn leftovers.
No special equipment is required…just a needle, thread, some scissors, and a crochet hook or two (2.5 & 3.5 mm crochet hooks recommended) a few metres of yarn (sock yarn, sport yarn, or dk yarn recommended…weights 1, 2, or 3).

Instructor
Julie is a long-time crocheter who learned to crochet and knit as a child...she made a crocheted poncho for herself when ponchos were first in style!
She also has a long history of working in online learning and video editing--recently retiring from a career in post-secondary continuing education.
Julie's educational background includes a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Toronto, and various updating courses in computer technology and marketing.
At this stage of her life, Julie is exploring her creative side and her interest in environmental sustainabity, putting her talents to use helping others to explore their own creative imaginations.
